ISO 9001:2008 / Soon to be ISO 22000
A strategic decision has been made by management to establish a Quality Management system based on ISO 9001:2008, with the aim to support consistent quality within Colourtone Aries. The potential benefits to Colourtone Aries from implementing a Quality Management based on ISO 9001:2008 are:
- The ability to consistently provide products and services that meet or exceed our current and future customer needs and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitating opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Addressing risk and opportunities associated with our organizational context and objectives.
- The ability to demonstrate conformity to all relevant Quality Management requirements.
FOOD SAFETY STANDARDS - IBL CERTIFICATION
We at Colourtone Aries are committed to making sure that the highest standards of food packaging safety and hygiene are maintained and will, so far as is reasonably practicable comply with food packaging safety requirements. All reasonable precautions will be taken and due diligence exercised regarding food packaging safety.
We achieve this by ensuring that all raw materials purchased comply with current legislation and regulations, and by maintaining a management system that satisfies the requirements of our clients.
By doing this Colourtone Aries achieved the IBL Blue status and to become a preferred supplier of food packaging to Woolworths.
SEDEX APPROVED
To ensure that we comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993, the management of Colourtone Aries made a decision to do the SEMTA 4 Pillar Audit – SEDEX Member Ethical Trade Audit which consists of:

- Environmental Management
- Health & Safety
- Business Integrity
